1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Being dementia friendly means that we are able to recognise when clients might have or be developing dementia. This is essential in the work we do, enabling us to act appropriately and in their best interests.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

If the client has dementia it can make their legal issues more complex, but we are well equipped to deal with this.
