1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

  • Dementia Friends awareness sessions now form part of induction training for all (new) staff.
  • At least one more Dementia Champion Trained
  • Develop more opportunities for activities
  • Create a Dementia Friendly Community around my office location
  • Continue with Community Dementia Friends training

2. Actions

  • Dementia Friends awareness sessions now form part of induction training for all (new) staff.

    There is now a requirement for all staff to attend a Dementia Friends awareness session before completing probation.
