1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We aim to provide a safe and trusted venue where people can come together knowing they will receive support, encouragement and inclusion.

We are actively involved in helping Harrogate become Dementia friendly by undertaking training to help improve our understanding and therefore the improving the service that we provide

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We aim to encourage learning and the sharing of information in a friendly environment, to raise awareness and reduce stigma making Harrogate a Dementia friendly place to live, work and visit.
