1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

It is important given both Lymington’s role in Dementia Awareness as well as the changing demographics in Lymington and society as a whole, that all of Elliotts staff are aware of dementia and a basic knowledge of how to deal with customers displaying obvious signs.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

In a high pressurised business environment to ensure that enough time and resources are allocated to discussing these issues with each member of staff.

2. Actions

  • Dementia Awareness raising for staff

Ensure all staff, attend a dementia awareness raising session
