1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We provide good and services to people with dementia enabling themn to enjoy the best quality of life for longer in their community

We improve customer service through increasing staff awareness and understanding of dementia

We enable people living with dementia to be a part of their community and continue to participate in social activities

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We are building a new service with the opening of the museum this summer as a starting point. Our pace therefore is likely to be steady rather than fast because so much is going on.

This is not the primary purpose of our business and there are time and resource limitations.
