1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

To fully understand challenges faced by those with dementia and be able to respond to their needs by providing a welcoming environment and staff who are able to assist

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Lack of information and communication is the biggest challenge facing not just our organisation but many other organisations. By offering more information within the community would go a long way to better
understanding and breaking down barriers and stigmas attached to people effected by dementia
