1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

The awareness session has really helped us realise what we can do to assist any person who may exhibit the signs of dementia feel more comfortable on our premises.

  • Dementia friendly premises

    Review premises to look at ways the environment could be more Dementia Friendly and make changes where poss.

    Consider future shop layout and look at flooring within premises

    Removal of gowns which are hanging up if a person exhibiting the signs of Dementia feels uncomfortable.
