1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Now that we are more aware of how people with Dementia feel we can ensure our staff attend to their needs and are sensitive.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

During peak months we have a large turnover of customers that need to be served in the quickest possible time. Our challenge will be to ensure that we offer extra time and are patient with customers who have Dementia and try to spot these customers in advance.

2. Actions

  • Dementia Friendly Environment

On future refit changes ensure we consider areas within the shop that could make customers with Dementia more comfortable using our facilities.
