1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We are a caring community cafe that welcomes all people - a place where people can call in, relax and chat with friends and staff. We are making the staff more aware of Dementia through training and alliance with Dementia Forward

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We are a busy cafe so time with people is often stretched. Keeping up with staff training with the demands on time and resources is a challenge.  Employing new staff that will have the same attitude to the work/ care already started is another issue.
