1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

To fully understand challenges faced by those with dementia and be able to respond to their
needs by providing a welcoming environment and staff who are able to assist and provide legal
services appropriate to their needs

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

To ensure that staff, particularly the Private Client team are aware of the different aspects of
dementia and to become more aware of how the team can help carers ensure that they have as
much legal help in place as they need.
