1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

It is to offer and signpost resources to our groups to better enable them to offer their services to people with dementia and their carers.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Our challenge is overcoming anxiety and lack of confidence in helping people with dementia and their carers. We need to make relevant information and support consistently available to groups and their volunteers to help build confidence and skills.
