1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Our organisation is being launched to represent the people of Lymington living with dementia - to help them to live well within the community and feel a valued part of it.  We will do this by improving awareness and understanding of dementia, so that individuals and organisations feel they can better meet the needs of those living with the condition.  We will also offer information on local support and advice available and listen to their needs, feeding this back to the wider community.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Coordinating the volunteers; time available; ensuring the sustainability of the Group.
