Test Valley Community Services

Our role is to encourage, help and support voluntary and community groups in Test Valley. TVCS can: •Provide support •Assist with development of services •Facilitate networking and consultation •Liaise between public, private and voluntary sectors to enable partnership working •Increase the skills and membership of local groups TVCS provide voluntary sector support by helping with: •Setting up new groups •Charity Law and Constitutions •Trustee Training •Training for Voluntary Groups •Office equipment loan TVCS can help you get results by giving funding advice and support. TVCS will help you through the fund-raising maze, signpost you to grant making trusts and other funding sources. We assist and advise you on your application.

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

TVCS can support projects and groups relating to dementia care/awareness by assisting with the setting up process, governance, payroll, training and funding advice.

We can also promote events and services to the Voluntary Sector across Test Valley.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

It can be a challenge to raise funding for groups.

  • Improve the Awareness of Voluntary Sector staff & volunteers

    We will improve the awareness of dementia for Voluntary Sector staff and volunteers by facilitating Dementia Awareness sessions with Andover Mind through TVCS’s forums and training program.
