1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
The Council is keen to ensure that our services are accessible to people with dementia and their carers. We believe that we have a key role to play in helping to cope at home for as long as they can and in making the Borough “dementia friendly” . We so intend to continue working with partner organisations in the Borough to identify problems and local solutions which will improve the outcomes for people with dementia and their carers.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
We are aware that resources are limited and therefore will aim to ensure that our resources are used as effectively as possible through following best practice and co-ordination with other organsisations.
