1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Alzheimers Society are Lloyds Banks Charity of the Year 2014. At Romford we are committed to our own local Dementia Action Alliance Plan. We aim to recognise customers who may suffer from Dementia and will strive to provide care, support, empathy and understanding in addressing their own individual needs when using our sevices. 

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Our staff having the ability to recognise the signs of dementia and provide the appropriate support.

2. Actions

  • Raise Awareness of Dementia.

    A member of staff from the Alzheimers Society will be visiting the branch to host an information stand for customers.


    2014 - First Quarter Update

    New Member

  • Lloyds Bank staff to volunteer for a day at an Alzheimer's Society group or activity.

    Branch staff to spend time at our local Alzheimers Society Groups to help them develop an understanding of people with dementia which will assist them when providing support in the branch.

    Staff to be dementia aware and to work to ensure that customers have a positive experience when visiting the branch. All staff to support customers with time, care, empathy and patience.
