1. Action Plan

Q1 What barriers do people with dementia or their carers face when using your service?

A: Knowing about our service, having appropriate volunteering opportunities available, lack of knowledge from staff / volunteers about how to adapt systems to make the Volunteer Centre experience more dementia friendly.

Q2 What roles could your organisation play in delivering the aims of our mission statement?

A: Finding dementia friendly voluntary opportunities. Finding lines of communication which are more suitable for dementia sufferers.

Q3 What barriers does your organisation face to playing the role you described in question 2?

A: Capacity of our organisation and others to host / offer people supported volunteering placements.

2. Actions

  • Recognising & campaigning for Dementia awareness.

    Volunteer centre partnership will campaign for dementia awareness through publicity and website.
