1. Action Plan

Q1 What barriers do people with dementia or their carers face when using your service?

A. The barrier is the signage at office may not be clear enough.

Q2 What roles could your organisation play in delivering the aims of our mission statement?

A. The rolles are to encourage staff and councillors to undertake dementia awareness sessions and to appoint a dementia champion. Encourage local groups to be dementia friendly.

Q3 What barriers does your organisation face to playing the role you described in question 2?

A. The barrier is lack of knowledge which could be rectified with training.

2. Actions

  • Dementia awareness

    Patchway Town council will give all staff a copy of the dementia awareness leaflets, encourage them to undertake dementia awareness training. The council will nominate someone to train as a dementia champion to keep issues live and we will also put information in Patchway People.
