Q1 What barriers do people with dementia or their carers face when using your service?

A. The barriers is how to reach dementia sufferers.

Q2 What roles could your organisation play in delivering the aims of our mission statement?

A. The role could be more outgoing - not confined to church.

Q3 What barriers does your organisation face to playing the role you described in question 2?

A. The barriers does our organisation face to playing the role described in question 2 is stigma.

2. Actions

  • Dementia awareness

    We will try and improve dementia awareness amongst parishoners and encourage parishoners to become dementia friends.

  • Support people with dementia

    We will pledge to support people with dementia attending our services, both in trying to facilitate attending if that is what they wish and involving them as much as possible in all services. When alterations are being considered to the building we will consider whether dementia friendly options are available.
