We are a not for profit organisation run by a volunteer workforce. We want to build a sense of community in West Street & Fareham as a whole and will be holding events & interest groups that represent those present in the area.

1. Action Plan

How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers? 

 Ensuring people with dementia can access and enjoy thier experience in our cafe, by minimising distress and proactively engaging them. Continuing to uspport carers with discounted products and relaxing environment

What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

To ensure volunteer staff are all given appropriate awareness training

With a rapid turnover of volunteers, we need to ensure that they are well supported with a trained member of staff  every time.

Spreading the training  and  awarenss through the organisation

  • Dementia Awareness raising for staff

    Ensure all staff/volunteers, attend a dementia awareness raising session.
