1. Action Plan

As an independent, Community Interest Company (CIC) we operate on a not for profit basis but we do need to raise enough money to cover all of our running costs.

We aim to be a safe and genuinely inclusive space that tackles loneliness, inspires creativity and improves emotional, physical and mental wellbeing.

2. Actions

  • Staff to become Dementia Friends

All of our small team of staff will be offered and encouraged to attend a dementia friends session and apply that learning to their daily interactions with our customers.

  • Environment audit for the cafe premises

We will complete a dementia friendly environment audit and consult with our local dementia friendly community on our findings.  We will take on board the advice given and make changes where and when financial and service commitments allow.

  • We will actively support our local dementia friendly community group

We will actively support our local dementia friendly community group by reading minutes and support their actions where possible.

We will promote that we are dementia friendly locally and across social media and encourage other local businesses to do the same.

We will get involved with events and awareness raising such as dementia action week.
