1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
Marine Academy Primary will endeavour to educate and offer opportunities to learning about Dementia. This will help raise awareness and develop a generation of dementia friendly citizens of Plymouth, especially within the local community. Marine Academy Primary want to help towards making a national difference in support and awareness of Dementia within the UK.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Challenging and full curriculum already – being able to fit in the specific teaching. The current challenges of COVID-19 which impact directly on the school teaching. A lack of understanding of dementia and its importance.
