dementia friendly activities
I will ensure that Millicents provide and organise meaningful person centred dementia friendly activities to support our customers to remain independent and support their dementia needs. It is really important to me that our services are meaningful for the customers and they have a full day of things to do. Supporting with meaningful person centred dementia friendly activities enables the customer to feel part of their community. And supports a healthy happy mind and makes them feel purposeful. I have brought some dementia activities for example large puzzles, fiddle cuffs and water painting- Status:

Enviroment
I want to have a dementia friendly environment and have made a good start on this, I have had new furniture/flooring and blinds that support the recommendations in the dementia design audit tool for gold star accreditation. We use dementia friendly crockery and cutlery. We have clear signage and ensure the building is clutter free. We have red toilet seats and bins in the toilets.- Status:
