1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
We could make the staff more dementia aware so that if someone who visits the centre needs help, they will be better equipped.
We would also like to make the centre dementia friendly.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Organise dementia friends sessions for all new staff
We will get all staff trained and commit to training new staff within 6 months of them starting.
Support the local DAA
Support the local DAA by hosting a community outreach event
Raise awareness of dementia to all the businesses who trade from the Willow Brook Centre
We will share information on the tenant staff App due to launch next month and invite tenants to a Dementia Friends session
Ensure facilities are dementia friendly

ensure that all staff at the Willow Brook are dementia friends
