1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Price Bailey employ nearly 400 individuals who interact with our thousands of clients. We are very aware that the needs of each of these clients will be different, and we are committed to training and educating all our staff to be able to support as required. Due to our size and impact we have a duty of care to raise awareness both internally and with our local communities.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Our teams are all committed to providing quality service to our clients. This keeps them immensely busy and time restraints may be an issue. Helping the teams to realise the positive impact they can have on both their colleague and client interactions will drive the right behaviours though.

2. Actions

  • Create a driving force

Price Bailey will have a named individual as their office representative. This person will be responsabile for upskilling both them and the team.

  • Team upskilling

Our office advocate will attend training to support their knowledge within 6 months. The advocate will then complete training with all client facing members of staff with 6 weeks. This training will have a refresher annually.

  • Awareness

The Price Bailey team will all be made aware of our initiative and will actively promote the Alliance and the new skills they have learnt.
