D'ORO (Fashion Boutique)
We sell second hand and vintage ladies fashion on behalf of our clients.
We also travel globally to bring unique pieces to our boutique in Newmarket.
We are regular sellers at Chelsea’s Vintage Fair which is held about 8 times a year.
We help many of our clients through times of personal loss by purchasing or selling their family or friends clothes etc. The aim is to let these wonderful fashion pieces find a new home.
Benjamin and I like to treat every customer and client with the same care and respect. Our shop is a comfortable place to browse and purchase for all the family and all ages.

1. Action Plan
1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?
We are experienced in communication and dealing with clients and their families who are living with dementia or have lived with dementia. Therefore we are very familiar with the patience and empathy needed in these situations.
2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?
Remembering that issues surrounding people living with Dementia vary and not to make assumptions.

Improve our understanding of Dementia
We will arrange for all staff/volunteers to be dementia aware to ensure greater understanding of the condition and how we can help.

Work in partnership with Newmarket DAA
D’ORO will work with the Newmarket Dementia Action Alliance to support Newmarket to become a dementia friendly community and encourage other organisations to attend Dementia Friends sessions and sign up to the Dementia Action Alliance.
