1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

To create awareness regarding dementia and help raise money with events. 

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

2. Actions

  • Improve our understanding of Dementia

    We will improve our knowledge of dementia to ensure greater understanding of the condition and how we can help.

  • Work in partnership with Newmarket DAA

    The SnackShack will work with the Newmarket Dementia Action Alliance to support Newmarket to become a dementia friendly community and encourage other organisations to attend Dementia Friends sessions and sign up to the Dementia Action Alliance.

  • Promoting dementia awareness

    The SnackShack will display the NDAA window sticker and the dementia friendly sticker to show it is a member of the NDAA, and demonstrate it is a dementia friendly business.
