St Michael the Archangel Church

St Michaels Church Winterbourne is one of 4 churches in the Fromeside Benefice of Churches, covering the parishes of Winterbourne, Winterbourne Down, Frampton Cotterell and Iron Acton. The church provides places for worship, delivers church services, activities and events for all ages and minority groups in schools and the community, spiritual and pastoral support.

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Ensure our buildings, church services, activities and events are accessible to people living with dementia and their families

Ensure people living with dementia are included, are valued and understood

Ensure our church is Dementia Aware in how we support and include people living with dementia and their families

Ensure people living with dementia are spiritually and pastorally supported

Not all members of the church have attended Dementia Friends sessions
