1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

The knitting group is a chance for like minded individuals to come together to knit and chat over a cup of tea.  The members welcome all new members and are happy to teach anyone who cannot knit/crochet.

The group has been supportive of dementia projects and have been knitting twiddlemits and blankets for local care homes and the community hospital.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Promotion of the group to increase numbers.
