Uttlesford DAA

Two meetings were held in the Summer of 2017, which brought together a number of interested individuals and organisations, and a Steering Group was formed.

 Aims

Uttlesford DAA aims to support as many people as possible who are affected by dementia to live within or close to a dementia-friendly community, and to ensure that services that cover the whole of the district are dementia-friendly.

It is hoped that organisations from many different sectors will join our DAA to commit to making changes within their own communities and organisations.

 Chairperson

The Steering Group is chaired by Faye Butler from Uttlesford District Council, and includes a range of individuals from organisations working across the district.

 Achievements

The Uttlesford DAA has only recently formed but has already produced Action Plans and organised dementia friends sessions. Furthermore, the DAA has already approached other organisations who it feels would benefit from joining.

 Meetings

The Uttlesford DAA Steering Group will meet quarterly.
