South Norfolk Dementia Action Alliance

Aims

The South Norfolk DAA brings together representatives from a range of active Dementia Friendly Communities, community groups and services to:

  • Help make South Norfolk a more dementia friendly district.
  • Promote the work of South Norfolk’s Dementia Friendly Communities and provide a forum to share experiences and opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to support the development of new Dementia Friendly Communities, groups and initiatives across the district.

We will be supporting existing and new dementia projects across the district, encouraging businesses and organisations to sign up to the alliance, as well as making changes within the Council to benefit those living with dementia.

History

The South Norfolk DAA was formed at an initial steering group in September 2017. The steering group includes representatives from South Norfolk’s Dementia Friendly Communities, dementia related community groups, the District Council and voluntary sector partners.
