Surrey Dementia Action Alliance

Background

The Surrey Dementia Action Alliance facilitates Local Dementia Action Alliances in Surrey

There are 25 Local Dementia Action Alliance (LDAA) groups across the eleven administrative boroughs of Surrey, each working to achieve local goals that support the aspirations of people living with dementia and their carers.

Each Local Dementia Action Alliance is run by a small committee steering group which sets out local objectives as informed by people living with dementia and their carers living in their community.

These objectives are implemented with the help of local Alliance Members – statutory bodies, businesses, voluntary organisations and community groups - who pledge to improve the lives of people with dementia in their area by becoming members.

How to join a Local Dementia Action Alliance in Surrey

Membership of the Dementia Action Alliance is conditional on signing up to the National Dementia Declaration and on completion of a short Action Plan setting out how you will deliver the outcomes described in the Declaration. This plan is then published on this website. The Alliance Member Registration Form (containing the Action Plan and your contact details) is available to download from the webpage of each LDAA.
