DAA Housing Call to Action

The Housing Learning and Improvement Network (LIN) is now joining forces with the Dementia Action Alliance (DAA), to encourage housing providers and associated organisations to join the Dementia Action Alliance and sign up to the National Dementia Declaration. The housing sector can – and already does – play an important part in supporting people with dementia to live well and independently, and creating dementia-friendly communities.

By joining either the national DAA or your local one, you will gain access to partnerships, networks and expertise which will enable you to improve your services and develop new ones for people living with dementia. Doing so would also serve as a reminder to organisations in the social and health care sectors not to overlook the housing sector when planning services at an individual or community level for people with dementia.

For more information on the DAA and guidance on how to sign up see: Housing sector guidance
