In July 2014 we held an event for Carers of people with dementia to discuss the support they required in their caring role. As Carers would find it difficult to attend unless the person with dementia accompanied them, an activity session was arranged for the cared for.

Central Lancashire Alzheimer’s Society also attended, providing information.

The outcome was that in order to develop support for Carers we need to be mindful about support for the cared for to enable this to happen.

Additionally the session has strengthened our links with the local Alzheimer’s Society.
