Bridgwater DAA Networking and Resources

Monday 29 February 2016

Local Alliances:

Successes include networking with many groups across the community from banking and retail sector to the statutory organisations who actively support and use the alliance as part of their service provision.

We have circulated assistance cards for individual users across Bridgwater and surrounding areas to enable people living with dementia to access help quickly and effectively.

Over a thousand leaflets about dementia have been circulated locally as well as 500 booklets on how to help people with dementia.  The Bridgwater DAA has sponsored and organised over 20 awareness events and a conference.  Every shop in the town centre has been visited and given useful information about the project.  We have educational links with the University of Stirling.
