Southbourne LDAA and the wider borough of Bournemouth have chosen the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends initiative as its preferred way of raising awareness of dementia in the wider community and in its quest to become a dementia friendly town.  This has been highlighted by staff within Libraries, Tourism and Seafront staff becoming dementia friends and the town creating Dementia Friends Champions.
