Blackburn With Darwen CONNECT Project

Blackburn with Darwen DAA have recently launched our “Vulnerable adult travel card”, which people with a diagnosis of dementia are able to have free of charge.

These cards are being issued by Blackburn with Darwen Connect, to vulnerable individuals who may wish to travel on public transport, but often find it more difficult to inform the driver of their destination, tender their fate or to take a seat without hesitation. They are presented alongside the passengers travel pass and its sole purpose is to inform the driver that the passenger may just need a little more understanding to enable them to travel.
