We (the Dementia Action Forum) have achieved much with very limited resources in the last 12 months.  We have helped Derby and Derbyshire achieve Dementia Friendly status; inputted into the Carers' Call to Action; contributed to the development and piloting of "All about me"; supported the Royal Derby in its endeavours to extend and improve dementia training and have contributed to the creation of a training DVD which we hope will enable those working with people with dementia and their carers to hear what it is like first hand.  We are also creating a tool to help people with Young Onset Working Age dementia find their way through the plethora of disparate resources aimed at helping them.

In addition we have representatives on the Southern Derbyshire Dementia Implementation Group, the Dementia Action Group at the Royal Hospital, the Derbyshire Dementia Action Alliance and the 4E's Carers group.
