John's Campaign - A carer's story
Nicci Gerrard and Julia Jones started John's Campaign in November 2014 named for Nicci's father, which asks that carers of those with dementia have the right to accompany them in hospital.

Dementia and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) population
There are estimates that the UK is home to 1.2 million older lesbians and gay men. Evidence suggests that older people (aged 65+) are less likely to identify themselves as LGBT than younger people. Therefore this figure is likely to be an underestimate.
