1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

We have held 3 sessions of the virtual dementia tour which was offered to everyone in our community. (currently taken by 108 people), We will continue do hold these sessions whenever possible

All staff at Wathall's have undertaken Dementia Friends Sessions.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

Ensuring all new staff undertake Dementia Fiends sessions as employed

Changing the environment within the buildings restraints to aid visits to our premises from people living with dementia

  • Audit our premisies

    Look at our current premises and see where changes can be made to create a more dementia-friendly environment

    This may be possible as restorations are due for the building

    Look at what leaflets are available for staff and clients to educate on dementia.

    To continue with all staff being dementia-friendly. Place all new staff on Dementia Friends Workshops.
