1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Through our regional stakeholder engagement work and our links in the local communities we serve, we have regular feedback directly with our customers which address their current concerns.  We will also maintain close links to the DAA to ensure our training is up to date and address any emerging issues/changes.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

  • Awareness

    We have published an article in the WPD staff magazine ‘Powerlines’ to raise awareness business wide. This is sent to all WPD employees past and present 26,000 people. We will continue to look for opportunities to extend awareness among all staff that have a customer facing role
