The UK Live-In Care Association

Live-in care allows people to receive personalised, individual care and support in the comfort of their own homes. It is especially important for people with complex conditions to maintain their independence within familiar surroundings. The UK Live-In Care Association promotes the advantages and benefits of live in care as very few people are aware that you can receive care in the comfort of your own home.

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

The UK Live- In Care Association aims to inform people that they are able to recieve care within their own home. Live in Care is especially important for people with complex conditions including dementia as they are able to maintain their independence within familiar surroundings. We have a list of live in care providers to make it easier for service users to compare and find the best care provider for them.

2. What are the challenges to delivering these outcomes from the perspective of your organisation?

We aim to increase awareness of Live in Care in the hope that people choose a live in carer rather than entering a care home. Our website includes a range of informational resources to provide all the necessary information people need.
