Calvert Trust Kielder

Calvert Trust Kielder provides disabled people along with their family, friends and carers with an opportunity to participate in adventure activity. We offer a range of day visits and holidays including self-catering chalets and respite care breaks for adults who require care and support whilst away from home.

1. Action Plan

We can offer a friendly, safe and supported environment for people who are affected by dementia and their carers to enjoy day activities and holidays together.

In addition, we can provide respite care breaks for guests wishing to visit alone, giving their carers a much needed break. These breaks are subject to a care needs assessment.

    We plan on having all our staff at the centre in Kielder attend a Dementia Friends session.

    We offer a friendly, safe and supported environment for people who are affected by dementia and their carers to enjoy day activities and holidays together at our centre in Kielder Water & Forest Park.

    Our staff are experienced in guiding and assisting people with dementia during their visit to the centre.

    We will continue to work with Dementia Adventure, to organise holidays for people affected by dementia and their carers.
