Exeter City Supporters Trust

Exeter City Supporters Trust was formed in 2000 and in 2003 became the majority shareholder and owner of Exeter City Football Club. With over 3,300 members the Trust is registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Society Act 2014. The Trust promotes the values of supporter ownership, community focus and equality and diversity. Part of this is its commitment to dementia awareness and becoming dementia friendly.

1. Action Plan

1. The National Dementia Declaration lists seven outcomes that the DAA are seeking to achieve for people with dementia and their carers. How would you describe your organisation’s role in delivering better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers?

Action 1

To raise awareness and understanding about dementia amongst our members through various publicity initiatives including website, newsletters, social media and match programme.

Action 2

To encourage our members to become Dementia Friends either by attending an information session or by watching the video.

Action 3

To consider, via the Trust’s equality and diversity One Game One Community Group, the potential for a designated match around the dementia theme. Fixture lists due to be published on 22 June.
