    2014 - Fourth Quarter Update

With the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) we have developed a quality mark for wards that provide care for frail older people, which we believe will help to address the bad practice identified by Francis that resulted in sub-standard care. Both the RCP and RCPsych call for the implementation of the Quality Mark to be promoted across the NHS. To date there have been 17 wards which have received the elder-friendly quality mark.

    2014 - Second Quarter Update

Future Hospital Commission (FHC) -  aims to offer a vision for the organisation of medical services within the hospital and the community and to develop a system for hospital care which meets the needs of patients and responds to the changing patient demographics.

Dementia is an integral part of the Future Hospital commission, which will launch its report in September 2013
