Nottinghamshire Dementia Action Alliance

The Nottinghamshire DAA was set up in August 2012 and since the development the local alliance has developed a terms of reference for new and existing members.

  • Working towards developing dementia friendly communities
  • Sharing of information and best practice
  • Being aware of funding opportunities
  • Sharing of DAA information from a national and regional level
  • Promoting the voice of the person with dementia and their carer

Chair of the Nottinghamshire DAA

We are pleased to announce that Farai Pfende has agreed to be the new chair of the Nottinghamshire DAA. Farai brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience within the Health Sector.

We also have a new Vice Chair in the form of Scott Smith Service Manager with the alzheimer's Society

 How to become part of the local alliance

Any organisation that operates in Nottinghamshire is able to join the local alliance. Any new member must register and complete their action plan. Commitment that we ask of local members is to attend the quarterly meetings and to get involved in work of the local alliance.

Nottinghamshire DAA Dementia Awareness weekNottinghamshire DAA helped raise awareness of dementia with fire fighters by facilitating a Dementia Friends session for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue staff.
