Bradford District Dementia Action Alliance

Bradford district has a large and ethnically diverse population, with many traditionally ‘hard to reach’ groups.  Bradford has many areas of high unemployment and economic decline, as well as more prosperous areas.  In the district it is estimated that there at almost 6000 people with dementia.

Challenges will include making sure that we encourage a wide range of organisations to become part of the local DAA movement, and that changes made reflect the needs of our diverse local communities.

  • Encouraging organisations to see dementia as their business and empowering them to take action when they have other concerns and priorities
  • Ensuring we have a strong voice of people living with dementia in this process.
