Northampton Dementia Action Alliance

Welcome to Northampton Dementia Action Alliance

Northampton has a strong commitment from Public, Private and Voluntary Sectors to support, promote and work towards a greater awareness of Dementia.

We have formed part of the Northamptonshire Dementia Action Alliance since the alliance was formed in 2013.  With the diverse needs of the County we feel that Northampton would benefit from a localised Dementia Action Alliance so that we can focus on local needs.

We are proud to still form part of the Northamptonshire Dementia Action Alliance and will still feed into this via their quarterly meetings.

Aims for Northampton Dementia Action Alliance

Our current aim is to raise awareness about Dementia and improve the lives of people living with Dementia and their Carers.

Our ultimate aim is for Northampton to become a Dementia Friendly Community, demonstrating our commitment to people living with Dementia.

We are in the very early stages of our Northampton DAA and are looking for any Public, Private or voluntary service who have an interest in Northampton to join us and form part of our Alliance.

The first Northampton DAA meeting will be coming very soon, this is currently being led by Louise Musson from Northampton Borough Council but will be a Northampton Community led Alliance.

If you are interested in knowing more information and being part of this exciting project please contact our administrator Julie Grainger on jgrainger@northampton.gov.uk
