Join the Alliance
Are you a public body, business or charity that would like to make a public ongoing commitment to improving the lives of people with dementia?
To become a member, sign up to the National Dementia Declaration and submit a short Action Plan setting out how you are delivering the outcomes described in the Declaration. Any organisation that submits an Action Plan and commits to action will be considered for membership of the Alliance.
Members are classed as either 'national' or 'local', depending whether they have an ambition to deliver outcomes nationally or locally. National members are expected to provide quarterly updates and attend quarterly meetings. Local members are encouraged to join Local Dementia Action Alliances.
The Action Plan template, which all members complete, can be Downloaded here.
Once you have completed your Action Plan, please email it to the Secretariat at dementiaactionalliance@alzheimers.org.uk. The Secretariat will then either return it to you with feedback or upload it onto the website.
Are you a person living with dementia or someone caring for someone with dementia who would like to use your experience and expertise to inform the Alliance?
All Alliance meetings actively involve people with dementia and their carers. Their roles include introducing sessions, participating in discussions, setting agenda items and voting to elect our Chairs.
If you are interested please contact the Secretariat on: dementiaactionalliance@alzheimers.org.uk.
